Our opinion

Very rare reference in yellow gold, we appreciate the Aquanaut 5066J for its sporty-chic design in a reduced size of 35.6mm and for its rubber strap available in many colors... A watch with a magnificent yellow gold case and already a collector's item.

For over 25 years, the Aquanaut has been one of those watches that leaves no one indifferent. Its young, modern design is above all unexpected; characterized by its rounded octagonal case - inspired by the Nautilus case - it is also a technical evolution with its "tropical" bracelet, made from a new composite material that is waterproof and ultra-resistant to both traction and ultraviolet rays.

The Aquanaut is a traditional luxury watch, even if it doesn't necessarily fit in with the image we have of Patek Philippe. Before it, Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak and Patek's Nautilus also broke with the conservatism of the high-end watchmaking industry.

The Aquanaut, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017 with the launch of a model with a blue dial in white gold, is one of the brand's benchmark models.
